How to request ZealyOn account closure

This page explains the exact steps users should take to close a ZealyOn account, what information is deleted, what may be retained, and how long retained records may be kept for security, legal, and billing reasons.

Steps users should take to request deletion

ZealyOn supports account closure directly inside the app. Users should use the in-app path below whenever possible.

Open account details

Sign in to ZealyOn, open the More or profile area, then go to account details.

Select close account

Use the existing close-account option and follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.

Contact support if needed

If a user cannot access the app, they can email support@acenetics.dev from the address linked to their account and request account closure.

What is deleted when you request closure

When a valid closure request is completed, ZealyOn may deactivate access, revoke notification delivery, and delete or anonymize personal account information that is no longer needed.

Account access data

  • Direct account access is disabled.
  • Active sessions and notification delivery can be revoked.
  • Personal profile fields may be deleted or anonymized.

User-facing preferences

  • Notification preferences and related delivery settings may be removed or disabled.
  • Profile settings linked only to the closed account may be cleared.
  • Support-side identifiers may be reduced where practical.

Operational cleanup

  • Access entitlements tied to the closed account may be ended.
  • Future non-essential communications stop after closure is completed.
  • Residual personal references may be anonymized rather than kept in raw form.

What we may retain

Some information may need to be retained after closure where deletion is not immediately possible or where retention is required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, billing, audit, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Security and abuse prevention

  • Records needed to investigate misuse or protect the service.
  • Limited logs used to detect abuse, fraud, or suspicious activity.

Billing and financial records

  • Purchase, subscription, and transaction records required for accounting or reconciliation.
  • Support records tied to charge disputes, refunds, or regulatory obligations.

Legal and backup retention

  • Data kept to comply with legal obligations or enforce agreements.
  • Archived or backup copies that may cycle out later under normal retention schedules.

Retention timing

Deletion timing can vary by data type. Some data may be removed promptly after closure, while retained records may be kept only for the period reasonably necessary to meet legal, billing, security, fraud-prevention, audit, or backup obligations.

Typical timing expectations

Account access and non-essential communications can be disabled promptly after a closure request is completed. Personal profile information may then be deleted or anonymized as part of follow-up cleanup processes.

Records required for billing, dispute handling, fraud prevention, audit, security, or legal compliance may be retained for an additional period as required by applicable obligations and internal retention schedules.
